In this season of Thanksgiving, I'd like to say THANK YOU to my Communique' readers. I've appreciated your comments, contributions and even your friendly competition in my occasional contests.
As the year winds down, I thought it might be helpful to include strategies for re-energizing. Take a look at the "5 Paths to Passion" article below.
Also in this edition of the Communique' are:
- Request for your vote...I've been nominated again for Top 5 Speaker award in the Communication category
- Information on the TEDx America's Finest City Women's event...I'll be one of the speakers on this prestigious stage!
- Reminder that now is the time to book
speakers for your 2013 events...I'd love to help your group stay positive and work together better!
I look forward to partnering with you on a program in the near future!

5 Paths to Passion
In these times of uncertainty and change, it can be tough to stay motivated and passionate. Here are what I call "5 paths to passion"...how to jumpstart your excitement for your career...and your life!
1 - Set a worthy goal... and achieve it. Having something significant and meaningful to work toward is a great motivator. Accomplishing that goal is an even bigger "shot in the arm."
2 - Teach and Learn
Have you ever noticed that TEACHING someone something can be energizing...whether it be showing a new employee around or teaching a child to ride a bike. LEARNING something new can have a positive effect as well.
3 - Serve Helping others will help you feel better about yourself.
4 - Nourish
Come up with a list of activities that give you that all-is-well-in-my-universe feeling and then making sure you engage in at least one or two of them every week.
(Zumba, anyone? That's on my list!)
5 - Gratitude
Being grateful for what we have helps us stay positive and motivated. What are YOU grateful for?
NOTE: You may recognize these 5 Paths from the "5 Ways to Rekindle Passion for your Career" segment of my long-time presentation "How to Stay Positive and Focused in Uncertain Times."
