 Every day, we work side by side with neighbors in our community to make sure that everyone, regardless of age, income or background, has the opportunity to learn, grow and thrive. Many of you choose to make the Newport News Family YMCA your charity of choice. And, thanks to your generous support, the Newport News Family YMCA provided financial assistance to local youth, adults and families in 2012 that would otherwise not have been able to participate with the Y.
The Y has been listening and responding to our communities' most critical needs for 160 years. Strengthening community is our cause. Whether developing skills or emotional well-being, welcoming and connecting diverse populations or advocating for healthier communities, the Y fosters the care and respect of what people need and deserve.
We invite you, once again, to make a tax-deductible contribution to the Newport News Family YMCA so that we can continue offering opportunities for youth development, healthy living and social responsibility to everyone, regardless of financial ability. Summer Day Camp
Fun! It's in our nature! Kids have the best summer at YMCA Summer Camp. Days are filled with swimming, arts and crafts, new games, nature exploration, sports, songs, field trips and much more. The program stresses socialization, self-confidence, and self-awareness, all presented around the values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility.
Camp allows parents to work without worry while their children enjoy a summer experience that will last a lifetime.

YMCA CAMP KEKOKA | | |
SUN FUN &WATER SPORTS
Give your son, daughter, grandson, or granddaughter the summer of a lifetime! YMCA Camp Kekoka is the Peninsula Metropolitan YMCA's resident camp serving boys & girls ages 8-15. We offer 6 fun-filled, one-week sessions:
Session 1: June 30-July 5 Session 2: July 7-12
Session 3: July 14-19
Session 4: July 21-26
Session 5: July 28-August 2
Session 6: August 4-9
Cost: $500 a week. This covers all activities, lodging, & food. Register now and we will set up a payment plan for you so you can pay a little at a time! Just like all other programs at the YMCA we do have a guardian program.
