Wear It and Win!
This past weekend we said (temporary) good-byes to a half-dozen or so CCGP youth off on a mission to Louisville, and to the Van Culins who are off on vacation. It was also the weekend we said good-bye to W ear it and Win. Our final winners are Allan Torp and Nancy McConnell -both selected free car washes and both will also receive bonus Einstein Brothers gift certificates in honor of our many traveling parishioners. In addition to the 4th of July, this month offers a number lesser-known events such as National Blueberry, National Anti-Boredom, National Cell Phone Courtesy, National Hot Dog, National Ice Cream, and... drum roll please... National Baked Bean Month. To mark all the July happenings, a second-chance drawing was held for all those previously entered into Wear It and Win who didn't win. Norah Williams
(Cloister certificate) and Ann Cooper (car wash) are our Second Chance Winners. Both will also receive Einstein Brothers gift certificates. Congratulations to all our winners, and thanks to everyone who participated. Not only did you make it easier for Fr. Drew and Jessica to get to know us by name, your participation supported our youth group ($150) and the Cloister Bookshop ($120). Please keep wearing your name badges.
Editor's Note: And thanks to Bill Matthews - a true winner - for his very entertaining bulletin updates each week!
