Stewardship Shout Out

The Stewardship Committee celebrates the many ways we show our love of God and others through the ministries of Christ Church.

This week we acknowledge the Christ Church Outreach Funding Committee which supports our parish mission by recommending and overseeing the allocation of parish funds to charitable and/or community organizations which support the work of the church and our parish vision. The group's dedication and diligence helps Christ Church share its treasure with others in our mutual goal to demonstrate Christ's love by working to strengthen our broader community.

In 2012, Outreach Funding allocated $61,000 in grants to 12 worthy organizations including Adult Well-Being Services, Alternative for Girls, Bishop Mayson Scholarship Fund, Bound Together Pontiac, Canterbury House, Crossroads, Detroit Institute for Children, Mariner's Inn, Ruth Ellis Center, Student Mentor Partners, Youthworks, and Wellspring. Chaired by Vestry member Pat Wenzel D'Angelo, the group welcomes any and all who are interested in working to build our support and influence within our shared greater metropolitan community.

Give, and it will be given to you. Good measure, pressed down,

shaken together, running over, will be put into your lap.
For with the measure you use it will be measured back to you.
Luke 6:38
