The Grain Brain
The Surprising Truth About Wheat, Carbs and Sugar: The Brain's Silent Killers
|
With the publication of his 4th book, Dr. David Perlmutter, M.D., F.A.C.N., the only board-certified neurologist who is also a fellow of the American College of Nutrition exposes important findings from the medical literature, substantiated by his clinical experience, that even a diet high in so-called healthy carbs like whole grains can cause dementia, ADHD, epilepsy, anxiety, chronic headaches, depression and alzheimers disease.
He says that "the fate of our brains is not in our genes but in what we eat". Dr. Perlmutter shows you how to "keep your brain healthy, vibrant and sharp while dramatically reducing your risk of debilitating neurological conditions without drugs and explains why a diet high in 'good fats' is ideal". Many nutritionally schooled medical practitioners are coming to the same conclusions as Dr. Perlmutter regarding not just brain health but heart health, immune health, digestive health and overall well being: a diet of quality protein sources, organic non-starchy vegetables and 'good fats' is the key. The authors of these other groundbreaking books agree: The Omni Diet by Tara Amen, BSN, RN, The Blood Sugar Solution by Mark Hyman MD, The Immune System Recovery Plan by Susan Blum MD and The Great Cholesterol Myth by Stephen Sinatra MD and Jonny Bowden PhD. I recommend them all!
