Technology at it's Best!

Kardon Tech

Greetings!

No... I'm sorry, I haven't made it yet.  The last newsletter mentioned 'The Bodies' exhibition here in Atlanta.  We discussed how important planning was to the show, AND your organization.  The intent was to visit the show and talk with someone there about, "what would happen if..."

You all have heard us discuss how important disaster recovery is to your practice.  So, I will get to the subject... after I visit the show.  I really would like to share their input.  So, keep reading!

Just as I keep hearing many of you say, we have been quite busy!  For us, it's all been surrounding September 23rd, when the Omnibus Final Rule went into effect.  For many of you, hearing about these changes has also increased your workload a bit, trying to implement the new policies in your practice.  Right?

Well, tomorrow begins the new fiscal year for the Federal Government (or not).   Whether or not the enforcement phase begins as planned, the law is still... the law.  Whether or nor you are presented with a letter informing you of an impending audit, you should be considering your compliance to the law.  If you are unsure of your legal HIPAA status, contact us to discuss options.

Sincerely,

Brian G. Wilson

Wouldn't You Like to be a Speeder Too
- Dr. Pepper Jingle (ONLY)

So, you have an appointment.  In Atlanta, it could be across town, or across the street.  You need to calculate how long it will take to get there.  Do you consider the challenges traffic presents?  Is school close to getting out?  Or, you've had the conversation with a co-worker or friend or your partner about where you're headed and your time estimates are... very different.  OR better yet, GPS gives an estimate and you say, "I can beat that".

I'll tell you, I'm a speeder (and hopefully law enforcement doesn't start following me now).  I'll also admit I was much worse than I am now (yeah, I was one of those guys).  The two years I spent in Portland, OR slowed me down though.  You see, that's a walking/biking city.   Portland also has a boatload of street parking.  Speeding down a neighborhood street is unheard of because  you never know...
Should You Try to Fix It, Or...
Should Some Things Just be Left Alone?

Would U believe the plant on the left is exactly the same as the plant on the right?  I  know, I know. 1st traffic, now horticulture...  I'm in a mood. What can I say?  But, look at these 2 plants.

Now, these 2 plants are in the same yard, so they've each seen the same conditions.  But they've fared differently.  Obviously, ONE of these plants saw a little trouble this year.  Otherwise these 2 pictures would / should look nearly identical.

My boss is asking, "Where is he going with this?  So, you should keep reading...
