Greetings!
This has certainly been a year for the Kardon Tech group! We launched our HIPAA/HITECH Compliance offerings in March. Since then, we have enhanced the program several times. Our QuickStart Coaching Webinar launched in October, and has taken off! Every staff member has visited the St. Louis market this year, and there are plans in place for additional states in 2013. We have performed several intense upgrades, saving our clients time, and thus money, We launched a new company website and are working on the other divisional sites now. Keep your eyes open.
There have been blogs written, articles published and presentations delivered. There was even a wedding! It's no wonder we are all truly beat! So, we will be working 'client light' hours the last week of 2012. No matter what you do this next couple of weeks, enjoy the most of the best you've been given!
We are grateful that you have traveled this road with us. You, our clients and friends have made this an enjoyable year, even if our eyes may be swirling. Thank you!
Sincerely,
Brian G. Wilson Kardon Technology

Start the New Year Right!
What? We Are Still Working, Aren't We?
As you reflect on 2012 and plan for 2013, consider this... No longer can I call it the 'newly introduced' HIPAA Compliance Quickstart Coaching Program. We're just going to say it's been successful!
- 90 days
- One-on-one assistance
- 'Understand' your Security Risk Assessment
- You'll learn how your inventory, monthly reports, training and other documentation can be stored and accessed in one central application
- Use the easy to complete worksheets to create and update policies and implement procedures
Rather than leave you with a report that tells you what you need to do, we'll show you how the ComplyAssistant subscription can manage your compliance plan. In 90 days, you'll have more in place than... well, than you do now. We are scheduling the January 2013 classes. Class size is limited, so let's get you started early. Contact Us for details!

Is That a New Rolls?
Gorgeous Hand-Made Luxurious Rolls-Royce
Well... kinda. I can tell you it's not a Kardon Tech company car. Things aren't going that well... yet. I just came across this article, and being a former 'car guy', I thought it was awesome. And since cars are on so many people's holiday wish list, I thought I'd share.
This guy is pretty creative. He took an old Mercedes, created his own mod kit, and transformed his car to the car of his dreams. But that got me thinking. What kind of technology is in a car of this caliber? I came across a 'what do these buttons do' blog.
There is so much tech gadgetry in this car, you just need to look them up one feature at a time (like raising and lowering the retractile 'Spirit of Ecstasy' hood ornament with the touch of a button). And it's not like much gets old on a limited edition vehicle. I found a 2010 'technology' write-up that still blows away a street car today. What technology have you gotten accustomed to in your car that you can no longer do without?

What Does Kardon Like?
What Kardon do... to Relax?
It's apparent the mind of an IT professional goes non-stop (Karla and I too). What do you do to relax when you step away from the desk? Music, read a book, exercise, play games, hang out; whatever it takes to just chill, stop the noise, silence the voices.
Donna: Plan a trip, walk in the woods or hang out with friends.
Karla: Walk the trails of Stone Mountain or hang out on the patio with a glass of wine.
Jason: I need to spend time on the golf course or putting green.
Christa: I usually like to either exercise or hang out with friends to silence the voices and recharge.
Brian: I put on my headphones and listen to music, no matter what I'm doing. I do really enjoy walking. I should get back to walking.
I guess what they say about exercising is correct!

A Note to Our Readers
The 'Ask Chantz' article is missing this month because Chantz has taken the holidays off. He will return in January and address his long list of questions. If you have particular subjects you'd like addressed, please send Chantz a request.
