Technology at it's Best! |

Greetings!
Are you feeling as wide-eyed as I am? Sandy just left a trail of destruction in the NE. Halloween is, well... here. And elections are next week. How can I focus? Well, in today's world, technology is closely connected to each of these events. Models predicting the culmination of multiple storms bearing down on the NE were much more accurate than in the past. Costumes have amazing technology incorporated today. Last year, even an amateur (geek) made a costume using dual iPads to make it appear he had a gaping hole through his torso. And the greatest Haunted Houses use technology to time incredible tours and shows. Outside of improved voting systems, the technology involved in polling can look at and weigh data all kinds of ways. It helps the candidates know where to campaign and how much money to spend where. Technology is... everywhere! So, all I got is, "stay safe, Happy Halloween and please go Vote!"Sincerely, Brian G. The 2nd Red Dot
Do You Have Suggestions?
So, I was sitting here trying to come up with a topic for this article. I looked up from my computer screen and there it was. Right there in front of me. The 2nd red dot!
Let me tell you about the first red dot before I give you the history. All I know is I heard, "nothing seems to work", and "what will help you do it?" Then I saw the first red dot. "Since you are a visual person, let's try this. We'll see if a constant reminder helps" Well, I'm telling you, it's helping!
The history? Like many of us, I'm a pretty busy person. But my duties scale a pretty wide spectrum. I could be drafting e-mails one minute, answering a call the next second, writing a newsletter article the next, and running to the post office or bank right after that. I'll jump on a project in a minute...

QuickStart Coaching.
You are not Alone
To say we understand is an understatement. Those that have signed up with us are so concerned about their compliance status. Not necessarily because they think they've done anything wrong. But this topic is so complex, how do you know you have the right procedures in place?
Last month, we announced the launch of our coaching webinar series. The series consists of an hour long webinar one week followed by 1/2 one-on-one review the following week, and lasts for 90 days. The goal is to work with you as you concentrate on learning what your Risk Analysis entails.
You know that feeling when you know you've made the right decision...

Ask Chantz
The Eyes and Ears at the Office
Question: iPad, or...? Answer: That's it? That's the question? Well, I'm certainly no professional, but the question is kinda the answer. If you are using the iPad as the comparison, then...

Client Corner
Services That Work
Just in case you weren't sure, this section is intended to show how we service our clients and handle issues and concerns in every day situations.
What do I do, though, when there aren't any problems to report? Well, that's great, for one, because it means we are doing our job and our services work. So this month, I'll share one of the things we didn't do to still service our clients.
We do help with websites. After releasing one of our recent designs, the client began trying to find the new site on Google. She contacted us to ask how to get the site more visibility. Now, we work with...

Disaster Recovery Plan
Is Your Office Secure?
With the passing of Hurricane / Tropical / Super Storm Sandy, one can't help but think about what you might do if you are hit with a disaster, natural or otherwise. Most of our clients, both here in the south and up north, were not directly affected by the storm. But many of us still had some risk.
We may not have had coastal flooding, but wind gusts reached dangerous peaks for days, toppling trees and power lines. What would your plan be if one fell on to or into your office? Or what if a power surge took out one of your computers or servers? And although we haven't experienced a storm of this nature locally, Atlanta has experienced flooding and other disasters. Then there were entire New York city blocks going up in flames, which is not out of the realm of possibility for any city. What would you do? |
