Greetings!
So... it's been a while.  Kardon Events is still coordinating all types of events.  So, as we jump head first into 'Social Season' Contact Us to let me know what you are considering.

But, much has also been happening in the halls of Kardon Group.  Many of you know that Kardon Technology is one of our divisions.  Working diligently on a variety of projects has indeed captured the time of the entire staff.  And we are truly excited about the direction and the growth of the company.

Many of you are already connected to me through some type of social media platform.  If you haven't yet, feel free to connect to my Facebook business page, the Pinterest page that Brian manages, and my Kardon Events LinkedIn profile.

Well, I've also recently updated my Kardon Technology LinkedIn profile.  The entire Tech staff contributes to posts each month, so there are some awesome IT subjects to review.  You'll find some of my connections are shared between the two LinkedIn profiles, but there are more opportunities for you to connect to a wide range of professionals.  Check out your connections and be sure we are connected.

In the meantime, feel free to contact me to discuss your plans for your next event.  Kardon Events, Your event, your way!

Suggestions for an Autumn Event
It's that time of year again!  Summer is the time when people are most active.  The long days and full blooms makes people just want to be out and a part of the day.  I know... it's no longer summer!  While you may be able to get a few good hours of the day today to actually enjoy the warmth of the day, you are probably traveling with a sweater or sweatshirt.  You know; that popular shorts and sweatshirt look you see out and about the city streets.

When planning autumn events, you should be cognizant of the time of the day and have contingencies; not only for weather, but also for light (or lack of it).  Other things to consider...

Wings and Beer

That was it.  That's all he wanted.  Many events are easy for me to plan.  When I meet with a potential client, I ask several questions about the host, the desired theme or goal, and the invitees.  I go back to the office and create magic. No, really.  Magic!  What?  So...

All I could get from this host was "wings and beer".  I had several suggestions that, to my chagrin, were shot down.  There are often challenges with the complexity of my events, but never with the simplicity.  But your event your way means just that!

And here's the kicker.  He didn't even want to serve wings.  He wanted his guests to bring wings.  What to do, what to do...
Did You Know...
It's here... again.  Autumn!  Time flies.  So, I get this 'No White After Labor Day' thing in my head, and I go to searching.  You don't want to show up at your next party or dinner out of touch?  So, I do a quick search.

My favorite quotes came from an article written by K. Cooper Ray of the Social Primer.  "When we talk about manners, etiquette, classic style or what have you, we are generally talking about public behavior, yes, but especially those times when we wish to make a good impression."   That wasn't my favorite quote.  That was just a clear one.  This was:  "It's not when one is sitting around the...
Season Cocktails
Cool at night, but it's that time of the year that, sometimes, it's still quite 'warm' during the day!  The Pineapple-Grapefruit Spritzer is light, and tropical.  There are a couple of steps here.  But it can be so refreshing sitting out on the patio sipping this sweet bubbly... before donning a sweater.

Ingredients:
  • 2 cups pineapple juice
  • 1 cup pink grapefruit juice
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon minced fresh ginger
  • 1 (750-milliliter) bottle sparkling white wine, chilled
  • pink grapefruit slices for garnish

Directions

  1. Stir together first 4 ingredients in a large container; cover and chill at least 1 hour.
  2. Pour mixture through a fine wire-mesh strainer into a pitcher, discarding ginger.
  3. Add wine just before serving over ice.
  4. Garnish, if desired.
