Greetings!
After meeting with several groups here and in other states, we've come up with additional solutions to address HIPAA/HITECH Compliance issues. We know you must be in great shape wrestling funds away from your doctors. Just preparing another request for something the office obviously needs can become an issue. Answering the 'now what' question can make your eyes roll and your mouth dry. The need, however, is still present. A simple Risk Analysis is a great starting point. You can identify and prioritize when to address the findings. Hopefully, it would be before the audit. However, a comprehensive Risk Analysis with a web based Compliance Management Application gives you the tools to work on the implementation of your project plan. We can begin your Security Risk Analysis. You now have the option to take care of everything in 3 installments, or take advantage of the monthly option now available to you. Should you elect to wipe payment out early, there is an additional 5% savings available. However, you can also get started with minimal upfront investment. There are benefits to both options. Contact Us to discuss which works best for you and when you'd like to get started.
Sincerely,
Brian G. Wilson

The IT Professional and... Sports
The Game Matters... We all know the reputation. Heck, they know it. If you watch The Big Bang Theory, it's apparent. According to a Gizmodo article written by Nick Broughall, Geeks and sports are like two positively charged magnet ends. Video games? Most definitely! Baseball? Well...
But what can sports teach us? What do they teach... them. First there is Math. For us, it's adding winning points. Them... there are averages, odds, and percentages. Observation of repetitive patterns gives someone with attuned skills a huge competitive advantage. They can develop strategies based on performance.
Most of us play to win. You can see the drive in the eyes of a team trying different tactics to gain or preserve a win. Take that same determination and put a problem before any good IT professional, like our team here at Kardon Technology. Why does playing a sport matter... |

Kardon Technology Goes to the Doctor
Introducing Kardon Care Medical
If you follow college football, you are aware of the multiple teams that have recently jumped conferences. The SEC is 'one of the most financially successful' conferences. Since 1998, the SEC has produced 8 (of the 14) BCS Champions, with both LSU and Alabama playing in 2011 (yes, both SEC teams).
It's no wonder states as far west as Texas and far north as Missouri have joined the SEC ranks. The SEC has phenomenal programs and the passion and support behind the schools is unmeasurable. You've got to be good to play and win in the SEC. Like Texas A&M and the University of Missouri, Kardon Tech has noticed the need to evaluate which 'division' we need to join, where we can develop our fine tuned skills, where our players can sharpen their competitive edge. Football, or Doctor...

Ask Chantz
The Eyes and Ears at the Office
Question: Someone says that using two or more monitors is the bomb but I just don't understand the big deal - why should I have more than one?.
Answer: Everybody here has two monitors. Brightness and color in every office. From what I can see, they get a lot more done, more quickly.
You know how you can have multiple windows open in your browser at once? Here everyone also has multiple browsers open. Well, instead of clicking from one page to another, they place what they are checking or verifying on one screen, and work directly on the other.
Apparently, you can set preferences too. Donna and Karla's main screen is on the right, but Brian's is on the left. It appears to be more efficient and productive. But be careful... once you start, there's no turning back!

Client Corner
Services That Work
We received a call from a client that had accidentally deleted a new folder that she had just created. She said that she had been going through all her files, reorganizing and moving related files to one singular folder. Some files go back several years. Now, they were all gone. She could not find the folder in the recycle bin on the server and there was no indication of it ever being on her computer or the server.
We had the recently launched Kardon Care Backup running on the server and Jason told her we would check to see if we could find what she needed. We were able to restore the server files to a version from the night before she started working. She had to start over and go through the organizing again, but she didn't lose any files.
Jason spoke with her a few days later and she said that she hadn't finished her earlier work, but she glanced through the files and they all seemed to have been restored properly.
Your data is critical! Contact Us to discuss how the Kardon Care Back-up plan can work for you. . |

What Does Kardon Like?
Team Sports...
Did you play sports in school or do you still as an adult? What benefit did you reap?:
Donna: I played basketball, softball and volleyball between being a kid in the pasture in pick up games all the way up to college. My favorite has always been softball, though. I am certain that sports teaches so many lessons that everyone should find something they can participate in on some level. Of course, not like the sports where the poor kids have no desire to play but the parents are pushing them because it is what they want the kid to want.
Karla: I didn't play on a team, but was a key member of the pep squad. We supported the team at games and engaged the crowd. It was a great way to build teams!
Jason: I tried out for baseball my freshman year of high school and did not make the team. That crushed me as I had played baseball since I was 4. I was on the golf team the next three years and I love golf. I play nearly every day, if possible.
Christa: I played basketball from age 5 thru high school, and I've played softball from age 5 until now. Let's just say 20+ years and still going strong... About a year or so ago, I discovered road cycling which I enjoy a lot.
Brian: I played... cello. What's so funny?! Sports could have messed up my form. But playing with an orchestra does contribute to an interactive team-like environment. What? There's discipline.
In case you missed it, the techies all played something.

So, what is SlideShare, and how can it help you in business? Here's how... |
