Create a Team
Set up a WhatFriendsDo team for families affected by an illness, an accident or a disaster; WhatFriendsDo tools are designed to help in times of emergency or challenge.
  • The team's blog serves as a perfect place to keep a journal.
  • One centralized team contact can relay information to everyone.
  • When time and energy do not allow for numerous phone calls, a WhatFriendsDo team allows friends and loved ones to stay up to date on what is happening with their friend.
  • A WhatFriendsDo team is a convenient and current place for coordinating any needed help.
  • Friends can donate funds to help with needed costs and know that it's going directly to help their friend.

Greetings!

With Thanksgiving approaching, we often evaluate the wonderful things we have to be thankful for, even during challenging times. At WhatFriendsDo we continue to be thankful for all of the users who share news of our site, and we hope you will continue to do so.

This Thanksgiving week we'd like to borrow an idea that so many Facebook users are doing this month already. We'd love to share your phrases of thankfulness.  If you're on Facebook, this will be super easy - because each day we'll start the phrase for you, and you can just "comment" and complete the sentence. If you're not on Facebook, please send us an email with your phrases (see below).

Complete these sentences:
Monday: When my friend calls, I am so thankful that I can ....
Tuesday: I am so glad my friend asks me to ...
Wednesday: My friends are the best because they do this for me:
Thursday: I love sharing a meal with my friend because...
Friday: A friend once did this for me, and it meant so much I try to pass it forward as often as I can:

Most importantly, reach out to your friends this week. You may be busy stuffing a turkey, but your friend's challenges continue. Be sure you extend an invitation for friends to join around your Thanksgiving table, or offer to deliver the meal (yep, the WHOLE thing!) to them ... or better yet, enlist your friend's team to make the entire meal.

WhatFriendsDo is the "take action" site when your friends are in need. Here are a few take-action ideas for the coming week:
Helping your friend have a cheerful day is always good, and will also make your day cheerful. WhatFriendsDo has an idea for every day of the year!
We may not be able to change the outcome, but we hope to change the journey.
