Marcy Moneypenny Wins CBRE's Women's Network's "Endurance of Spirit" Award
2014 BOMA Georgia President Marcy Moneypenny was recently awarded one of CBRE's Women's Network's highest honors, the "Endurance of Spirit" award. The honor is given annually at the group's networking conference to a CBRE professional who best exemplifies the mission and philosophy of the Women's Network.
In addition to her involvement with the Women's Network, Marcy is involved with various industry organizations, community service projects and non-profit boards. She oversees the strategic property management responsibilities for CBRE's Southeast region.
BOMA Georgia would like to congratulate Marcy on this remarkable accomplishment and extend a special note of thanks for her ongoing commitment to leading our association in 2014.

 This year's BOMA Show was another great success as real estate professionals celebrated the trade show theme Lights! Camera! Action! Be a Reel Estate Star. Medical Office Building Managers to Discuss Legal Aspects of Leasing and Managing Medical Office Buildings
 Medical office building real estate professionals are encouraged to register for the June 17 meeting of the Medical Office Building Shared Interest Group (MOB SIG) discussing Legal Aspects of Leasing and Managing Medical Office Buildings. Sponsored by Full Circle Restoration and Construction Services, this meeting will be held at Emory University Hospital Midtown and will include topics like Stark Laws, Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), ADA, use restrictions, hazardous substances, medical waste, environmental laws and other laws and lease clauses. BOMA Georgia is seeking members to join the new Social Media Messengers (SMM) group. The SMM is a unique group for social media savvy commercial real estate industry professionals who enjoy creating social media conversations about BOMA Georgia and the commercial real estate industry.

Help Benefit Hillside at the Fleming's Fundraiser

Registration for the annual Fleming's fundraiser on July 25 is open. This annual fundraiser benefits BOMA Georgia's chosen charity, Hillside.
Hillside provides quality, cost-effective treatment and education to severely emotionally disturbed children and their families. Services are provided in the least restrictive environment possible in accordance with patient needs.
Attendees of the Fleming's event enjoy fine dining, wine and networking, all while benefiting a great cause. At the event, attendees can further support Hillside by bidding in the live auction that includes many great prizes and packages. Registration for the fundraiser luncheon is just $85 for individuals and $850 for a table of 10.
