Nestlé Fires Biomass, P&G Taps Natural Gas
Beginning next year, Nestlé will burn coffee husks to produce steam at the company's largest coffee plant, located in Toluca, Mexico. The biomass boiler will provide approximately half of the steam needed for operations. Proctor & Gamble, beginning next year, will take a Pennsylvania plant off the grid by using natural gas tapped on the property.
