Unilever, Earth Institute Partner on Fifth Anniversary of Global Handwashing Day
Unilever and the Earth Institute announced a new initiative to bring handwashing with soap to nearly 500,000 people in rural villages across 10 countries in sub-Saharan Africa, today on the fifth anniversary of Global Handwashing Day. Prof. Jeffrey Sachs, Director of the Earth Institute at Columbia University and Paul Polman, CEO of Unilever, signed the MOU.

EV Project Retailers See Increased Customer Loyalty
Retailers that have installed electric vehicle (EV) charging stations are seeing a greater number of return visits and longer visits from EV drivers, according to ECOtality, the company managing the Department of Energy-funded EV Project. Participating retailers includes Best Buy, Ikea, Macy's, Sears, Walmart, Kohl's, Fred Meyer and Cracker Barrel.
