 "Awake! Awake! Put on your Strength, O Zion!"

(Isaiah 52:1)

Shalom Dear Family and Friends, 

Greetings to you, from Samaria ! 

 

This is yet another urgent Prayer Bulletin, to call upon your kindness, to pray and comfort Zion.

This morning, at 07:00 o'clock local time, two Arab Muslims attacked the worshipers inside a quiet synagogue at the Heart of Jerusalem, stabbing, beheading with an axe, and firing a pistol! It was a real Pogrom!

Four Jewish men dead, 8 injured. Both perpetrators, cousins in their early 20's, were shot dead on location.

Thoughts about Then & Now...  

It was just 9 days ago, on the 9-10 of November, that the 76th Anniversary of the Kristallnacht in Nazi Germany was commemorated. The Kristallnacht atrocities, mainly against synagogues, marked the beginning of the Shoah, the Holocaust in Europe. That was then.

And Now, Europe seems to be suffering yet again, from a new form of Cancerous Anti-Semitism: Muslim Anti-Semitism! Europe is unable to shake-off this curse, once & for all! Therefore, we may "understand" why in the past couple of years, Jews are publically attacked, and even killed, in Brussels, Paris, Berlin and London. We may even "understand" when the Mayoral Candidate of the Spanish town of Collado Villalba, Dr. Mariola Vargas, in a public pre-appointment jury-inquiry, used the ancient anti-Semitic term "Jewish Dog", to indicate to her audience that she is neither corrupt nor a greedy person! This took place just 4 days ago, on November the 14th...

 

But for four Jewish men to be so brutally slaughtered while praying in a Jewish synagogue in Jerusalem, the City of God (see Psalms 132:13), the Eternal Capital of Israel and all of the Jewish Nation?

And our FINAL POINT: this morning's awful massacre in the synagogue is pushing the Palestinian-Israeli Conflict to a different scope! Under the Palestinian President's constant incitements, this event is pushing the conflict to be a clash of Civilizations, and a War of Religions!! This is a new level of conflict, which may affect the entire globe, and easily get out of control, if it hasn't already... 

God's Two Promises...

Today's Terror Attack, of Muslims against Jews, in a House of Prayer, a House of Worship of the true God of Abraham, Isaac & Israel, caused us to reflect upon two cardinal scriptures. 

Promise 1 - Zechariah 12:1-3:"1The burden of the word of the Lord against Israel. Thus says the Lord, who stretches out the heavens, lays the foundation of the earth, and forms the spirit of man within him: 2 'Behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of drunkenness to all the surrounding peoples, when they lay siege against Judah and Jerusalem. 3 And it shall happen in that day, that I will make Jerusalem a very heavy stone for all peoples; all who would heave it away will surely be cut in pieces, though all nations of the earth are gathered against it'".

Promise 2 - Isaiah 52:7-10: "7 How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him who brings good news, Who proclaims peace, who brings glad tidings of good things, who proclaims salvation, Who says to Zion: 'Your God reigns!'.
8 Your watchmen shall lift up their voices, with their voices they shall sing together;
For they shall see eye to eye when the Lord brings back Zion.
9 Break forth into joy, sing together, you waste places of Jerusalem! For the Lord has comforted His people, He has redeemed Jerusalem.
10 The Lord has made bare His holy arm in the eyes of all the nations; and all the ends of the earth shall see The salvation of our God.".

In relation to the term "Watchmen" in verse 8 above: three weeks ago, the Israeli Police Force started an operation, to both thicken and broaden its presence, due to the circumstances of unrest, mainly among the Arab Muslims of East Jerusalem. The name of this Campaign is "Watchmen on the Walls"! 

 

Our Request...

We truly hope that in this short bulletin we managed to make you aware of the significance of this event, as an issue of a Global, rather than local magnitude. The above scriptures support this notion. Would you please join in with us, as spiritual Watchmen on Zion's walls!

We would like to suggest that you pray for two major issues:

  1. For the Peace of Jerusalem

  2. For your own respective Nations, that they will NOT join another coalition to come against God Himself, and His Plans for the Nation of Israel, residing in the Land He promised us - the Land of Israel! 

Although the world would like us to believe that this area, Samaria, is NOT Israel - the Bible tells us that Judea and Samaria are indeed

the heartland of Israel, FOREVER !!
