Living in this age of information and technology, we realise that you, our friends and prayer-partners, can have as much or as little current information as you require, concerning the present war and hostilities that are taking place between Gaza and Israel. You may read, see and hear of the daily atrocities and difficulties that the Nation of Israel lives through each day. Yet, if you have never been in this situation yourselves, you may not know the feelings of parents, as they watch the potential trauma that could affect their little children, for many years!

We know; Uzi was badly affected by sirens and blackened windows in 1956, during the Kadesh War between Israel & Egypt, when he was only 6 years old...

When rockets are fired into Israel, and the alarm sounds, everybody runs to take shelter in the closest designated safe-place. Young children are carefully taught and trained and know the exact procedure, but this does not guarantee that the little ones are not frightened by the noise, or left traumatised, even if the building that they are in is safe from destruction. So far, this summer, most children have not had one day without the threat of needing bomb shelters close by.
