September News from WRCDV
This month we share an exciting opportunity, the story of a survivor using our services, and an easy way you can support our programs.

Grants to Green

WRC is excited to receive a Grants to Green Assessment Award from the Community Foundation of Greater Atlanta. This partnership between The Community Foundation and Southface gives metro Atlanta nonprofits the opportunity to renovate or build healthier work places that are energy, water and environmentally efficient. The ultimate goal is to improve a nonprofit organization's building structure to not only have less of an environmental impact, but also to increase the cost-efficiency of operations, ideally saving more finances to provide more services. Our assessment will focus on ways that our domestic violence safe house can become more energy and water efficient - helping us allocate even more funds to direct services to DV survivors. Stay tuned for more info and ways you can help!

Eyna's Story

This month, we are featuring Eyna's story on our website. Eyna and her children use the services at Nia's Place, our supervised visitation and exchange center. She says, "My experience in coming to Nia's Place changed from apprehension to gratefulness. I can only say thank you for having something in place that offers security and peace of mind." Visit our website to read more from Eyna.
