WRC & Half the Sky
Women's Resource Center to End Domestic Violence is proud to announce that we will be featured in a national documentary airing on PBS early next year!
We have been excited to host two-time Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Nicholas Kristof, 'About Last Night' actress Regina Hall and their team in Atlanta this week, helping them learn more about domestic violence and the amazing work we do. A Path Appears is a follow up to Kristof's previous film, Half the Sky, which aired on PBS in 2012. Its release is timed to coincide with the release of Kristof and Sheryl WuDunn's new book.
Half the Sky was a four-hour television series for PBS and international broadcast, shot in 10 countries: Cambodia, Kenya, India, Sierra Leone, Somaliland, Vietnam, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Liberia and the U.S. Inspired by Kristof and WuDunn's book, the documentary series introduced women and girls who are living under some of the most difficult circumstances imaginable - and fighting bravely to change them.
Stay tuned for updates and more information on when the series will air and where you can purchase the book!
