Greetings!

August has unofficially become grocery month at the Women's Resource Center as we attempt to restock our food pantry.  You see, it's a lot easier to stretch a food budget when one or two meals each day are provided at school.  During the summer, our food pantry gets many more requests from moms scrambling to use the same number of dollars for two or three times the groceries. The summer left us pretty bare, with not much time to play catch-up before our next challenge: the holidays.  Here are a few ways you can help:
Host a collection
Women's Resource Center will provide you with a collection bin to place in the leasing office of your apartment complex, the lobby of your office building, your school, your community center, or your place of worship.  Spread the word that the bin will be available for 1-2 weeks and then bring what you've collected to our office in Decatur.
Subscribe and Save
Need a quick and easy way to help?  Use Amazon.com's Subscribe and Save program to send regular shipments of an item we need straight to our door.  Visit our website for more information.
Use Your Kroger Card
Before you do your family's shopping, take a moment to register your Kroger card to benefit WRC.  You earn cash for our programs every time you shop and you can pick up a few items from our wish list while you are there.  Our organization number is 07534 (it shows up as Women Moving On).
Big Thanks
We also need your help saying thanks to Michael Rittersbacher, our amazing food pantry volunteer.  For almost a year, Michael helped keep our pantry stocked and organized so that we could best help the families who come to us for assistance.  Michael has taken a job with Google and will be leaving Atlanta for good.  We owe him a great deal of thanks and wish him the best of luck!
