We Are Here
As much joy as they bring, holidays can also cause added stress, which can exacerbate or escalate domestic violence. Whether you decide to leave or just need some emotional support over the next few weeks, help is available. WRC offers twice-weekly support groups as well as a 24-hour hotline, which you can call for resources or just to talk. Our advocates can also help you create a plan for your safety, or you can visit our website to download a sample plan. Please call us at (404) 688-9436 and share our number with your family and friends.

Holiday Help Like most of us, the families we serve can use some extra support for the upcoming holidays, and WRC works hard to make sure that your donations have the greatest impact possible.
For Christmas and Hanukkah, in lieu of toys, WRC concentrates on providing families with the items they need to make their new houses into homes. Families provide us with wish lists that typically include dishes, silverware, pots and pans, bedding, towel sets, cleaning supplies, MARTA cards, and other items. We also ask donors to provide 2 gifts for each member of the family. If your family, faith group, or workplace would like to "adopt" a mother and her children, or provide gifts for the families staying in our safehouse, please call Amber at (404) 370-7670. |
