You read it right. There is an "s" on the end of "Project" in the title of this announcement.
Because we have already surpassed the halfway mark with fundraising for the Malvern Pizza mural, and have received overwhelming support from the community, we've decided to take on one more mural project near the train station.
The Gallagher's Auto Services location is across from the new, yet historic, train station and Caffé Craze. As Malvern becomes a more transit-oriented town we all agree that we'd like train passengers, commuters, patrons, and visitors to see a more inviting "Welcome to Malvern." More details about this mural to come.
The Malvern Pizza location offers the biggest, smoothest, and most visible canvas on King St. The full-color mural will depict Victorian era life in our small railroad town. It's a charming, classy, and appealing way to honor our town's history as Malvern undergoes some exciting changes.
The murals will complement the redevelopment and beautification projects in the Borough. A mural painting is a distinguishing characteristic in a community. They often become landmarks and can attract visitors. It's good for all of the residents and businesses in town.
This project is being funded by our community.
Please consider helping us make Malvern even more beautiful through a tax deductible donation.
We need to raise $10,000 to have these murals painted in the Spring/Summer of 2013.
