Rocky Butte in Madison South

We are in the diverse Madison South neighborhood which boasts unique qualities starting with Rocky Butte. This extinct volcanic cinder cone crowns the neighborhood to the east as a Scenic Drive Historic District on the National Register. Here you will find cycling and rock climbing enthusiasts along with neighbors walking to the impressive 360 view of the Portland area. Madison South is also a hub for youth at Glenhaven Park on 82nd Ave. with one of the first skateparks built and endorsed by neighbors as part of a larger Portland Parks system. Across from there is the Lumberyard indoor bike park which offers after school programs. Read more.
