Community Harvest Festival October 4th

Saturday, October 4th - 10-4pm at NE 42nd Ave. and Killingsworth-The Harvest Festival is an annual event to celebrate the start of the fall season with themed activities, games, crafts, and food vendors. More importantly though, the Fest allows the opportunity for a wide range of cultures in our area to come together to meet, converse, and celebrate one another's heritage, as well as promote the importance of food security within our community -Our 42nd Ave. Neighborhood Prosperity Initiative, Cully Blvd Alliance, Cully Farmers Market and CRAFT.

 

 

Join Portland's Biggest Annual Volunteer Event!
Parke Diem is a two-day volunteer event consisting of 70 projects around the city. It's your ticket to the largest volunteer work party in Portland. Projects will take place in parks, gardens and natural areas on October 10th and 11th. Register for first dibs on your perfect project and be a part of the park celebration! Draft Climate Smart Strategy Available for Public Comment
The Climate Smart Communities Scenarios Project draft Climate Smart Strategy is available for public review and comment from Sept. 15 to Oct. 30, 2014. In 2009, the Oregon Legislature required the Portland metropolitan region to reduce per capita greenhouse gas emissions from cars and small trucks by 2035. After four years of collaboration and engagement with regional partners and the public, a draft Climate Smart Strategy is ready for review.  Your voice is important. You are invited to provide feedback during the public comment period from Sept. 15 through Oct. 30, 2014. Read More.

Your Neighborhood, Your Voice: N/NE Housing Strategy

North and Northeast Neighborhood Housing Strategy The City is investing $20 million in North/Northeast Portland over the next five years to help address the need for affordable housing. We need your input to inform the housing strategy. You are invited to participate in Portland Housing Bureau's Community Forums this September and October where you can learn about affordable housing tools and give input on how to invest the $20 million.
