Arts and Culture Grants Available
Every summer, the Regional Arts & Culture Council (RACC) invites schools, nonprofit organizations and individual artists to submit proposals for project grants. These grants support a wide range of artistic activities in the Portland metropolitan area, including performances and exhibits, community-based cultural events, and arts education experiences. A total of about $750,000 is available for activities that are planned for January through December of 2015. Guidelines and "Intent to Apply" forms are now available online some are due August 6th.
Comment on Proposed Comprehensive Plan-See how Portland will Grow in the next 20 Years!
Portlanders are invited to view the Draft Comprehensive Plan Update and provide comments from your kitchen table with the online Map App. View the maps and significant projects of the draft plan that guides growth, change and improvements over the next 20 years. The Planning and Sustainability Commission (PSC) will hold several public hearings where Portlanders can testify in person, starting in late September. Additionally, Portlanders may submit feedback in writing to the PSC. After considering testimony and revising the Proposed Draft, the commission will submit a Recommended Plan to City Council in spring of 2015.
