Learn more about what is driving demolition, residential infill, and housing affordability in Portland neighborhoods!

                  

Guest speakers from the City's Bureau of Development Services, Bureau of Planning and Sustainability, home builders, housing and community organizations will address:

*What are the City's regulations around residential tear-downs and new construction?
*How do these trends affect neighborhood affordability, stability and equity?
*What are the environmental issues around the demolition of buildings?
*What is attracting home builders?

National Night Out (NNO) Kickoff Party is July 10th!
The official night of NNO is Tuesday, August 5th! Hosting a block party or picnic in the park is a fun way to meet and get to know your neighbors better! Registration begins June 3rd and ends July 25th. The kickoff event will be held on July 10th from 5:30-7:30pm, and it will be held in Laurelhurst Park. Join and learn about how to hold a great neighborhood party! The Portland Bureau of Transportation will have information about street closures, and Parks information about reserving space in a park. Cully Farmers Market and Madison High School Students!

Cully Community Market joined forces with Thursday's Old Salt Market to become Cully Farmer's Market - an affordable farmers market with local healthy food. We are moving into the heart of 42nd Ave business district and will be located outside of Old Salt, Roses, and Rocket Pizza-
cullyfarmersmarket.com. Madison High School Sustainable Agriculture students will be selling pesticide-free vegetable and flower starts at the Cully Farmers Market on Thursday, June 5th from 4-7pm!

Transportation Bureau Announces 2014 Sunday Parkways

Sunday Parkways is a series of free community events opening the city's largest public space - its streets - for people to walk, bike, roll and discover active transportation. Estimates put total attendance at the events at more than 100,000 annually. Residents and visitors say they come to enjoy the traffic-free streets connecting parks and schools filled with activities, music and vendors.
