Portland Parks Contributes $1.25 Million Towards Cully Park!
| We are grateful for Portland Parks Commissioner Amanda Fritz 's announcement that Portland Parks & Recreation (PP&R) will contribute $1.25 million towards the building of Thomas Cully Park. The 25-acre future park at Northeast 72nd Avenue north of Killingsworth will be built in multiple phases. PP&R's contribution will go towards the first construction phase, and will address the lack of parks and natural areas in the Cully neighborhood. The 405 families who currently do not have easy access to a park or natural area (defined a half-mile walk) will benefit from Thomas Cully Park. Many thanks to Verde's Let Us Build Cully Park effort and partnership with PP&R. Also, we appreciate all the groups who helped make this investment a priority including the Cully Association of Neighbors and members of the Central NE Neighbors Parks Committee.

Prioritize Portland Transportation Geo-Survey |
The geo-survey is a PSU student-lead effort working with neighborhoods and community organizations. The goal is to gather input from the public to help identify factors that can help improve active transportation services in your neighborhood. For example, where would a new sidewalk make your journey to the grocery store a bit more comfortable? Or, where would a new cross-walk or crossing guard make your child's trip to school a bit safer? Listening to the ideas and suggestions from all residents is an important emphasis of the Prioritize Portland! effort. The goe-survey team will be scheduling visits at neighborhood meetings. More information about the online geo-survey coming this spring!
