SE Uplift Soliciting Storytellers for Knock, Knock! It's Your Neighbor Event
Civic engagement doesn't have to be boring. It can be sexy. SE Uplift Neighborhood Coalition is attempting to really get people, ahem, excited about the opportunities for involvement that are unique to Portland. We feel that it is time we spice up civic engagement by going back to the roots - charismatic storytellers getting on a stage and delivering a compelling story to a crowd. Submit your story HERE. Approximately 10 lucky storytellers will share their stories live at the Bagdad Theater on September 17th!
Updated Regional Equity Atlas is Available!
The Coalition for a Livable Future (CLF) is excited to announce the release of The Regional Equity Atlas 2.0 The Atlas is a research and education project to promote widespread opportunity for a stronger, healthier, and more sustainable region. It demonstrates that many communities do not have adequate access to public parks, good transit, family-wage jobs, clean air, quality education, and healthy food.  It exposes deep disparities in access to opportunities and health outcomes affecting people of color, low-income populations, and youth. Get involved in using the Atlas to create concrete changes in policies and priorities!
