82nd Ave. Community Forum Brings Community Connections
Central Northeast Neighbors and SE Uplift hosted round-table conversations around topics of community interest on 82nd. Close to 100 neighbors, business owners and leaders participated on a sunny Saturday in May at Madison High School. As a result, community members are connecting with each other on various efforts today! We are aware there is much work to do and we could not possibly dig into it all in one gathering. This was a great opportunity for participants to think outside the box and share ideas concerning a large area of Portland that could benefit from community caring and action. For more details on conversation outcomes, please click here.Thank you again to everyone who participated and helped to make the gathering a success.
Connecting Community: Storytelling through Art at CNN

Featured projects for the event include Eastside Forum and MyStory. Eastside Forum uses interactive theatre based on real-life experiences to connect communities along the 82nd Avenue corridor. MyStory engages youth in creative self-expression using photography as a medium; youth share their ideas and experiences through a lens that creates meaningful connections within their community. Please RSVP by Thursday, June 6th to 503.546.7499 or communitylegacy@ourunitedvillages.org.
