PIT BULL PUPPY ADOPTED BY
WAR VETERAN
The Suffolk County SPCA has adopted out the female Pit Bull puppy, named "Molly" by her rescuers, to US Marine Lance Corporal William Ventura of 32 Oneida Ave., Selden, NY at a Press Conference held today.
Chief Roy Gross and other representatives of the Suffolk County SPCA along with representatives from Guardians of Rescue held Molly's adoption ceremony today at Ventura's home. She was rescued from her abusive owner in March of this year who was captured on video smacking and kicking the puppy while jogging.
Chief Gross said the dog was adopted under the program which was started by Guardians of Rescue called the "Paws of War Program." This program trains dogs to be service and companion dogs to veterans.
