SUFFOLK SPCA SEEKS INFORMATION FROM PUBLIC

The Suffolk County SPCA is seeking information from the public about a puppy that was dumped in a clothing bin, Wednesday in Centereach

Chief Roy Gross of the Suffolk SPCA said that the puppy, a 3 month old black lab was observed being thrown into the clothing bin at a shopping center at the intersection of Middle Country Road and South Coleman Road in Centereach Wednesday evening.
Awitness observed a woman throw the puppy into the bin and drive away.  The subject was driving a black Ford Expedition with chrome wheels and a partial plate of 6744 (New York) was observed on the vehicle.

Gross said the dog was taken to Selden Animal Emergency Hospital for observation and treatment.  "The witness fell in love with the pup and will most likely adopt it," Gross said.

Anyone with information can contact the Suffolk County SPCA at 631-382-7722.  All calls will be kept confidential.
