SUFFOLK SPCA OFFERS $2,000.00 REWARD FOR INFORMATION

The Suffolk County SPCA is seeking information from the public and offering a $2,000.00 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for leaving a dog in the middle of the road last night.

Chief Roy Gross of the Suffolk SPCA said that the dog, a Pit Bull was found in the roadway at Rt. 111 and Sage St., Central Islip.  Gross said that the dog had a strangulating cable tied around its neck.  A plastic bloody bag was also found nearby the dog.

Gross said the dog was taken to Veterinary Medical Center of Long Island in West Islip and Veterinarians there determined that the dog had been strangled, beaten, and has some neurological damage

Anyone with information can contact the Suffolk County SPCA at 631-382-7722.  All calls will be kept confidential.
