SUFFOLK SPCA SEEKS INFORMATION

The Suffolk County SPCA is seeking information from the public in the death of a dog in a wooded area near a Brookhaven Park.

Chief Roy Gross of the Suffolk SPCA said that the dog, a young female lab mix was found on Tuesday, February 10th emaciated and had only died a short time before it was found.  The dog was found inside a crate and found in a wooded area near the Martha Ave. Park, Bellport.

Gross said that it is too early in the investigation to determine a cause of death, but a necropsy is being performed.
