Alumni Newsletter | December 2014 |
This is a very busy time of year for everyone. Here at Concordia University Wisconsin, the hallways actually have become quieter. The students have finished their final exams; most of them have gone home to celebrate Christmas with their families. Over 600 are also celebrating their graduation.
In this season of advent, as Christians we rejoice in the celebration of our Lord and Savior's arrival. In the craziness of the season I pray that you have time to slow down, enjoy your family and rejoice in the true reason for the season. O come, O come, Emmanuel!
The New Year will bring in some new events and programs for our alumni. We are excited about the changes and encourage you to stay tuned. Please feel free to contact us with suggestions for alumni engagement and continued professional and personal growth.
Wishing you a very blessed Christmas and Joyous 2015,
Michelle "Mickie" Wagner

Giving Back
We are very blessed at Concordia University Wisconsin to have generous students, faculty and staff. During this season of giving, one of the ways the Concordia community gave back was through an Angel Tree. Campus Ministry organized and collected 260 gifts and delivered them to children of St. Martini Lutheran School. A second initiative has become tradition for the students, faculty, and staff in the School of Health Professions to "adopt" a classroom from the Next Door Foundation. This year, through the donations of many, 134 children were given a Christmas gift. These are just two of the many ways the Concordia community lives out our mission. |
