Greetings!
It's fall, the best time of year to be a college student! Football, soccer and many other sports are in full-swing, we just finished CUW's 75th Homecoming celebration, and finals seem like a million days away. Last week the new Student Center opened and it is even better than anticipated! Students now truly have a hub that they can call their own. Complete with many food options, pool, ping-pong, a large TV and gathering spaces everywhere, this is "where it's at" here on campus.
If you haven't visited CUW in a while, I invite you to do so. While you'll surely notice all the changes, you'll also be happy to see that the heart of our students hasn't changed. They have chosen this Christ-centered community as the place to help them develop professionally and personally. And all of us, from advancement to admissions, are here to see that they, like the students before them, receive the spiritual, educational and developmental guidance that will prepare them for their endeavors in the world.
Sincerely,
Lisa Liljegren

CUW Expands into Michigan
On May 18, 2012, the CUW Board of Regents and the LCMS Board of Directors approved a resolution by which Concordia University Wisconsin would acquire Concordia University Ann Arbor (CUAA) in Michigan.
The new structure keeps both Universities open in their respective locations, but under one Board of Regents, the CUW Board of Regents. Both Universities will be led by CUW President, Rev. Dr. Patrick Ferry, who will spend time on both campuses. The schools and divisions of CUAA will be restructured to mirror those at CUW with a common core of coursework for general studies at both Universities.
Because of this decision, CUW will impact more students within an important geographic and demographic region, answer the call from the LCMS to maintain a Biblically-based institution for higher education, and further advance the Kingdom of God.
