HUTTO EDC REPRESENTED AT BUSINESS EXPO
|
City of Hutto and Hutto EDC Partner for 3rd Consecutive Year at Hutto Area Chamber Business Expo
|
For the third consecutive year, the Hutto Economic Development Corporation and the City of Hutto partnered to host a booth at the 2013 Hutto Area Chamber of Commerce Business Expo. Hutto EDC Business Retention Director Erin Klingemann represented the corporation at this event that was held at the United Heritage Center at the Dell Diamond. With a theme of summer fun, this was event attended by approximately 300 individuals and created a fun venue for local businesses to be highlighted in one location.
"We look forward to this annual event as it is a great way to stay connected with businesses and leaders throughout Hutto," stated Klingemann. "Partnering with the City of Hutto allows us to better answer questions that local business owners may have and allows us to have a stronger presence at this event - we truly appreciate our continued partnerships between the City, the EDC, and the Chamber."

HUTTO HAS PRESENCE AT NATIONAL RETAIL CONFERENCE
|
Grisham Represents Hutto at International Level for Recruitment Possibilities
|
 As the newly appointed Hutto EDC President/CEO Joey Grisham recently attended the 2013 International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) international expo in Las Vegas in an effort to continue marketing the Hutto community and highlight growth activity for the development community. "The purpose of attending this event was to get in front of key development partners in the retail community in order to show that the leaders of Hutto are serious, aggressive, and committed to having positive growth occur within the city limits of Hutto," stated Grisham. "Representing Hutto in Las Vegas was an exciting endeavor that truly allowed me to focus on the potential that this community has," Grisham continued. "I am looking forward to watching the relationships and connections built at this conference continue to grow and see how they positively affect Hutto."
Attended by more than 33,000 real estate and development representatives, the annual ICSC Las Vegas conference is considered to be the premier venue for retail recruitment and development.

Temple College Workforce & Community Development to address the Hutto Community
|
 T he Hutto community will hear from Tanya Eychner with Texas Workforce Commission (TWC) at the July 11, 2013 Power Breakfast. Eychner will present the Skills for Small Business Grants provided by TWC. Also, Kathy Brandner with Temple College will be talking about the opportunities available to the Hutto community through the Temple College Business and Community Development Department. This event will be held at 7:30am at the Holiday Inn Express in Hutto. Like all Hutto EDC Power Breakfasts, this is a free event open to the public and requires no RSVP to attend.

Bartlett-Cocke General Contractors continue to keep construction on track
|
|
Construction on the East Williamson County Higher Education Center-Hutto is on schedule with an expected opening date of Fall 2013. Bartlett Cocke General Contractors is keeping construction on pace and ahead of schedule. Meetings with college officials are taking place every two weeks and progress on the development can be seen from both SH130 and County Road 108.
