NEW RELEASE!
2012
Freemark Abbey
Merlot
Napa Valley
"A cross-Napa Valley blend, the 2012 Merlot is their largest cuvée (15,500 cases), and is composed of 85.2% Merlot blended with other Bordeaux varietals. Only 21% new oak is used, so the fruit component dominates. A dense plum/purple color is followed by notes of chocolate, berries, tobacco leaf, forest floor and mocha. This lush, fruit-driven, hedonistic, sensual Merlot can be drunk over the next 7-8 years." (WA)
Wine Advocate: 92 pts.
Opaque depth of red ruby color, our merlot expresses rich dark fruit aromas composed of blackberry, black currant, blue berry and dark cherry. There is a dark chocolate nuance with integrated spicy oak. Coupled with the rich dark fruit, there is a hint of arugula adding to the complexity. The entry and finish are very smooth with integrated fruit resembling black cherry, the overall balance of fruit, body, tannin and acidity are impeccable. The velvety texture coupled with the richness of flavor provides a profile that delivers from initial sip, one that continues on the palate for a very long finish. Enjoy!

NEW RELEASE!
2013
Freemark Abbey
Chardonnay
Napa Valley
"Longtime winemaker Ted Edwards has fashioned a beautiful 2013 Chardonnay, an 11,000-case, non-malolactic, 70% barrel-fermented cuvée from multiple sources throughout Napa. One-third new French oak was used. Notes of delicate pear, apple blossom and tropical fruits emerge from this classic Chardonnay. Medium to full-bodied with a greenish hue to its color, it exhibits impressive layers and minerality. Enjoy it over the next 4-5 years." (WA)
Wine Advocate: 92 pts.
Brilliant greenish straw in color, our chardonnay expresses fruit aroma of green apple, pear, ripe banana, ripe pineapple, and tropical fruits. Adding to the complexity, the oak aging is fairly integrated adding spice, like nutmeg, vanilla, and the nuance of angel food cake with a slight baked apple and clove. This wine has great viscosity, depth and an intriguing long finish. The flavors are lively on the palate with pear, citrus, lemon-lime, green apple and peach. This wine shows great complexity, creaminess, and elegance to be paired with many foods.
