Cote-Rotie
La Landonne
Rhone

"Terrifically dense, with tightly coiled flavors of warm ganache, fig paste and blackberry confiture. Shows plenty of range as well, with well-embedded notes of bay, chestnut, juniper, black tea and charcoal. This is intensely grippy through the fine-grained and
lengthy finish. Should age marvelously and slowly. Best from 2017 through 2040." (WS)
Wine Spectator: 99 pts.

"Scheduled to be bottled in February of 2014, the 2010 Cote Rotie La Landonne is a more fresh, pure and focused example of the 2009. While it doesn't have the over the top exuberance of the prior vintage, it offers incredibly pure, detailed and classic aromas and flavors of black pepper, currants, blackberry, mineral and smoked bacon fat. Full-bodied, layered and deeply concentrated, yet also graceful and seamless, this knockout effort should require a decade to come around and have 3-4 decades of longevity." (WA)
Wine Advocate: 98-100 pts.

Cote-Rotie
La Mouline
Rhone

"This smolders from the start, with Turkish coffee and warm ganache notes out front, backed by steeped currant, warmed fig and Black Forest cake flavors. The well-structured finish is layered with charcoal and mesquite notes, revealing bay and chestnut details in the background. Offers terrific density, cut and range. Drapes like velvet despite the heft and structure. Best from 2017 through 2040." (WS)
Wine Spectator: 99 pts.

"Scheduled to be bottled in early February of next year (the La Mouline is the first of the single vineyard releases to be bottled), the 2010 Cote Rotie La Mouline is certainly in the same league. More fresh and focused, with heavenly black raspberry, wild flower, underbrush, crushed rock-like minerality and hints of vanilla, it flows onto the palate with a seamless, pure silk texture that carries awesome concentration, ultra-fine tannin and incredible length. It will need more cellar time than the 2009, and have 2-3 decades of prime drinking." (WA)
Wine Advocate: 99-100 pts.
"Vivid purple. Sexy aromas of blueberry liqueur, incense and vanillin oak, with a bright mineral overtone. Youthful black and blue fruit flavors show excellent depth and are sharpened by juicy acidity and a hint of Asian spices. Finishes with bitter chocolate and floral nuances, supple tannins and intense minerality. Elegant, as is typical for this bottling, but showing a surprising dark-fruit character that I don't usually expect from La Mouline." (IWC)

Cote-Rotie
La Turque
Rhone

"A stunner, with ganache, warm tobacco leaf, espresso and singed juniper notes leading the way for an immense core of macerated plum, fig and blackberry fruit flavors. The superlong finish cuts a broad swath, presenting smoldering charcoal and iron details. Best from 2017 through 2040." (WS)
Wine Spectator: 99 pts.

"More fresh and pure, with knockout aromas and flavors of pepper, cassis, spice-box, coffee bean and edgy minerality, the 2010 Cote Rotie La Turque possesses spectacular purity, full-bodied power and a massive finish. Despite the slightly burly profile here, it stays seamless and elegant on the palate, with the overall purity, freshness and concentration of the vintage. Like the 2009, this blend of 93% Syrah and 7% Viognier should start to shine around age 10 and have 3 decades of longevity." (WA)
Wine Advocate: 98-100 pts.
"Dark purple. Potent aromas of cassis, cherry pit, licorice and potpourri. Supple, pliant and fine-grained, offering deeply concentrated black and blue fruit, spicecake and floral pastille flavors complemented by smoky minerality. For all its richness this intensely fruity wine boasts superb clarity and energy. Finishes with suave, slow-building tannins and superb persistence." (IWC)

Hermitage
Ex-Voto Rouge
Rhone

"This has lavish range, with intense steeped plum, anise, pain d'épices, singed apple wood and fruitcake notes layered together, framed by smoldering charcoal and sweet tobacco accents and riveted to a tarry spine. Expands like a fractal in the glass to display enormous depth and length. Features mouthwatering cut from start to finish despite the heft. An extremely impressive wine that will need some time to stretch out fully. Best from 2018 through 2040." (WS)
Wine Spectator: 98 pts.

"Most likely just as good, with additional freshness and focus, the 2010 Ermitage Ex-Voto offers up an incredibly pure, fresh and nuanced bouquet of creme de cassis, licorice, crushed stone and spring flowers that flows to a full-bodied, detailed and yet gorgeously rich and textured palate. A serious barrel sample, with massive mid-palate depth and concentration, this beauty will require patience, yet should have an easy 3-4 decades of longevity." (WA)
Wine Advocate: 97-99 pts.
