Success Strategies for Colorado Nonprofits
December 2014
Greetings!

Support CRC today on Colorado Gives Day!

TODAY is Colorado's largest one-day online giving event, presented by Community First Foundation and FirstBank, and we need your support!

This year, Colorado Gives Day features a $1 Million Incentive Fund, which allows you to increase the value of your gift. Each nonprofit receiving donations on December 9 will receive a proportional share of this Incentive Fund. For example, if CRC were to receive 10 percent of the total donations made on Colorado Gives Day, we would receive 10 percent of the Incentive Fund. Imagine what we could do with $100,000.

Everyone who donates to CRC today on Colorado Gives Day will also be automatically entered to win a gift basket celebrating Colorful Colorado. The gift basket features native foods and unique products from local businesses from each of Colorado's rural and metro regions:
  • Front Range: 2 Tickets to Denver Botanic Gardens and 2 Tickets to Denver Museum of Nature and Science (Denver)
  • Heart of Colorado: Cross A Ranch Skincare All Natural Beeswax Lip Balm and Hand Cream (Salida)
  • Mountain: Bonfire Coffee's "Garage Blend" (Carbondale)
  • Northeast: Round Pottery Jar Humidor Brown and Green Lidded from YouLoveItToo (Yuma)
  • Northwest: Rising Sun Ranch Creations Gardener's Healing Hand Balm, Soap, and Lip Balm (Steamboat Springs)
  • San Luis Valley: LeeAnn's Heaven Scent Creations Lavender Sugar Scrub and Holiday Soap (Alamosa)
  • Southeast: Colorado Mills Sunflower Oil (Lamar)
  • Southwest: Adobe Milling Company Anasazi Beans (Dove Creek)
  • Western Slope: Austin Family Farm Fruit Blossom and Wildflower Honey (Paonia) and Red Mountain Ranches Apple Butter with Honey (Cedaredge)
Check out our donation page on ColoradoGives.org. Your support helps us continue
providing opportunities, tools, and strategies to develop nonprofits and strengthen Colorado. Join us in supporting the success of the vital, dynamic organizations that enrich the quality of life in our Colorado communities.

Sincerely,

Thank you to our dedicated board members!

The CRC family wishes to extend our appreciation to our outgoing board members for their dedication and commitment to our organization and the statewide nonprofit community. David Henninger, Susan Bonsall-Rosenberry, Max Tyler, Scott Johnson, and Erik Estrada have provided incredible support and guidance for years. CRC's substantial achievements over 30+ years would not have been possible without the unwavering support and hard work of these outgoing board members. We will miss them and know that they are not too far away.

State of Evaluation and Learning Survey
In partnership with The Colorado Trust and the Colorado Nonprofit Association, CRC distributed a first-of-its-kind "State of Evaluation and Learning" survey to several thousand contacts statewide. Based on a national survey completed by Innovation Network in 2012, the Trust will craft a report summarizing the results of the survey in early 2015. CRC and CNA will look to partner on opportunities to use the report in capacity building opportunities next year, including an "Evaluation Summit" focusing on trends in the sector, educational opportunities, and best practices for success.
