Success Strategies for Colorado Nonprofits
September 2014

This September, Trinidad, CO will host Southeast Rural Philanthropy Days. More than 275 individuals will come together on September 24-26th to strengthen their networks by building relationships, meet with potential funders and take advantage of professional development opportunities. In addition, the conference will offer opportunities to discuss regional needs and challenges of the 8 county region. Through a series of community conversations beginning with the Listening Tour, an ongoing focus has been to take a deeper dive into regional issues and identified opportunities for collaboration.

In an effort to continue this productive dialogue, at RPD there will be an overview of the Listening Tour and an opportunity to brainstorm solutions around two of the region's most pressing issues. To review the Southeast Listening Tour Report, CLICK HERE.

We look forward to seeing many of you there! Registration is extended through Wednesday, September 10th.  Learn More about Southeast Rural Philanthropy Days!

As the anniversary of these tragic events approaches, the Estes Park Nonprofit Resource Center (EPNRC) has joined with Stage 2 Studios and Neanderthal Marketing to announce Mountain Strong for Nonprofits. This new online marketing collaborative is designed to raise seriously needed funding for the local nonprofit community. The program will assist in rebuilding efforts following last year's flood and will help increase capacity for nonprofit organizations that serve Colorado residents most affected by the flooding.

Take Action Today!

Nonprofits across the U.S. have an opportunity to help increase giving and grant-making. On July 17, the U.S. House of Representatives voted to pass the America Gives More Act (H.R. 4719). Sign a letter from Colorado nonprofits to our Senators supporting America Gives More Act by September 10. The letter urges Colorado Senators Michael Bennet and Mark Udall to both support H.R. 4719 and encourage Senate leadership to bring it to a vote by the end of September.
