Success Strategies for Colorado Nonprofits
June 2014

CRC is excited to share a new partnership opportunity with the Corporation for National & Community Service (CNCS). Through the Rural Capacity Building Project, CRC will engage AmeriCorps*VISTA members in strengthening current networks of nonprofits, funders and government officials in developing and implementing collaborations that overcome community identified barriers.

The VISTA members will serve across the state, partnering with regional leadership to expand Rural Philanthropy Days (RPD) programming.  As the RPD program has evolved to include convening around regional issues through the Listening Tours and Community Solutions dialogues, we were compelled to identify new resources in order to meet the growing need.  The support provided by the CNCS will allow CRC to continue to convene and engage in the planning and implementation of community-identified solutions to the region's most pressing issues.

CRC has partnered with the Community Foundation Serving Southwest Colorado in Durango and with the Yampa Valley Community Foundation in Steamboat Springs who will each host a regional AmeriCorps*VISTA. The member will work with the regional RPD leadership committees to follow-up and build upon the momentum of RPD programming and to continue to provide meaningful and relevant professional development expertise to rural nonprofit and community organizations.

CRC is currently hiring five AmeriCorps*VISTA members to join our team.
