SERIC: Social Enterprise Readiness in Colorado - 2013

The Role of Social Enterprise: How equipped are Colorado nonprofits?

Take the Survey

What: Colorado nonprofits are increasingly facing operating and fiscal challenges, so Community Resource Center has partnered with Harvests, Inc. to produce the first statewide research project to better understand the role of social enterprise in pursuing organizational objectives. This includes identifying the challenges and opportunities associated with social enterprise and the resources fundamental to successful initiatives.

What is Social Enterprise? For the purpose of this study, we're refining the definition of 'social enterprise' as a revenue-generating entity directly related to the support a nonprofit's mission-doing charity by doing trade.

Who should participate? Nonprofit executives, including Chairmen, Directors, Executive Directors, CEOs, COOs, CIOs and Directors of Development.

How to Participate: Take a 10-minute online survey and be among the few who receive our exclusive social enterprise readiness report in June. Go to  https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/SERIC-13. The information you share will be vital to our assessment.

Deadline: April 19, 2013

In 2010 Colorado Collaborative for Nonprofits was chosen as one of the first cohorts of the  Denver Shared Space Project.  Cohort members- Colorado Nonprofit Association, Colorado Nonprofit Development Center, Community Resource Center, Community Shares of Colorado, and Metro Volunteers - met regularly for two years to identify shared space needs and potential for program and mission collaboration. Based on those discussions the cohort located an office at 789 Sherman with open office space on the second floor and a first floor training center.

Colorado Collaborative for Nonprofits is a vital hub where people and ideas connect.
