| Lynchburg Regional Jr. FIRST LEGO League Expo a Great Success
|
What program embraces teamwork, critical thinking, problem solving, and a love for LEGOs? The 2013 Lynchburg Regional Jr. FIRST LEGO League (Jr. FLL) Expo was held on April 20, 2013 at Liberty Christian Academy. 33 teams consisting of 207 children ages 6-8 and over 40 adult coaches gathered to display the culminating efforts of Jr. FLL teams in the Lynchburg Region.
This year's theme "Super Seniors" helped Jr. FLL participants learn more about challenges senior citizens face. Teams selected their very own "senior partner" to interview to understand more about what life is like as one ages. Many of senior partners bonded with their new young fans and took the time to attend the Expo on Saturday. One parent said this about the competition, "My favorite thing about being part of Jr. FLL is seeing the creative minds of children. They don't have any limitations on what they will try to build or how they will solve a problem." Continue Reading >>> |
