HeroMCC Hosts Healthy Hero Summer Camp

For five weeks this summer, 450 Healthy Heroes had fun at MCC learning how to be role models for their peers in the Rochester City School District. The students, grades 1-6, divided their time between physical activity and keeping their math, reading and leadership skills sharp. The program is made possible by a grant from the Greater Rochester Health Foundation.

We look forward to seeing these bright faces on campus again next summer to continue their pursuit of a healthy lifestyle. We hope to welcome them back in a few years as college students at MCC!

SODonors Grow Scholarship Funding

Thanks to the contributions of generous donors, the number of scholarships available to MCC students continues to increase. Eleven new scholarship funds were created over the past year offering even more deserving students the opportunity to receive a scholarship at MCC. Last year MCC awarded scholarships to more than 700 students, totaling more than $1.1 million!

AWHHomecoming 2015 Highlights

Over 100 of MCC Vice President Dr. Jeffrey P. Bartkovich's current and former colleagues turned out at the annual Alumni Week and Homecoming Luncheon and Golf Classic on August 13 to honor Jeff's 24-year career at MCC. Numerous retired faculty attended, a testament to the impact Jeff has had on MCC. With the leadership of the Honorary Committee and the generous contributions of event sponsor Pivcon, tee sponsors, and guests, $10,000 will be contributed to the Educational Technology Services Endowed Scholarship Fund which Jeff was instrumental in creating nearly 15 years ago.
