Recycling EventThanks to our alumni, the Rochester community, Gates Fire District and our MCC family for making the Maven Technologies recycling event an extraordinary success!  Together on a cold and blustery Saturday, we raised $3,000 which will help to endow the Lt. Michael Chiapperini and Tomasz Kazcowka Memorial Scholarship Fund.  The support we raised will fund scholarships for students in the MCC Fire Protection Technology program.

StudentWhen you BELIEVE . . . you make everything possible.

When you believe in our students and in the results an MCC education can bring, you help us make a college education affordable for students who could not even consider college without this assistance.  Perhaps most important, you can help our students believe in themselves-because that's the key to their success.

MCC's 2013 Children's Show - The Bremen Town Musicians

Thursday, Friday, Saturday, June 6-8, 6:30-7:30 pm

Theatre (Building 4), Brighton Campus, Parking in Lot F

Free of charge

When the audience shows up to a rehearsal unexpectedly, the cast of The Bremen Town Musicians decides the show must go on even though opening night is a week away!  Actors scramble for found objects to serve as props and costume pieces while others worry about not knowing their lines.  Luckily, since the characters aren't really musicians, the only music involved is a simple rhyme with stomping and clapping, and it doesn't even have to be sung well!  The know-it-all squirrel narrator, Squire, bosses the others around while the vain bird Flinch gets his feathers - ruffled when he keeps barging onstage demanding a part in the show!  The set and costumes are slowly "built" before our eyes as the play progresses.  The show gets on the road, but not without comedic speed bumps along the way!  The interruptions, squabbles and oversized egos don't slow them down, they only make for more laughs!  With a little creativity and teamwork, the acting troupe pulls off the heartwarming story of four woebegone animals who find friendship, foil a gang of robbers and live happily ever after and all with the simplest sets, props and costumes they can find!
