CASE II Award
MCC Foundation Council member Allen G. Casey and MCC Foundation Executive Director Diane L. Shoger were recognized by CASE, the Council for Advancement and Support of Education, for their leadership of the Monroe Community College Foundation. The achievement awards were presented at the CASE District II conference on March 4 in Pittsburgh, Pa.

Casey is a founder and president of M/E Engineering, P.C. He received CASE District II's Robert L. Payton Award for Voluntary Service for his leadership, volunteerism and philanthropy to support the success of MCC and its students. The award also recognizes Casey's support of the Rochester City School District and Rochester Institute of Technology.

Shoger joined the MCC Foundation in 1999 and was appointed its executive director in 2008. She received CASE District II's Professional of the Year Award for her exceptional work and innovative leadership that drive the success of the MCC Foundation. The award also recognizes her volunteer service to the community and advocacy on regional and national levels to promote the importance of private philanthropy to community colleges.

CASE District II is a regional organization of advancement professionals in the areas of alumni relations, communications, and philanthropy. The largest of the eight CASE districts, District II helps members build stronger relationships with their alumni and donors, raise funds for campus projects, produce recruitment materials, market their institutions to prospective students, diversify the profession, and foster public support of education.
