MAKING SEQUELS
April 2014

We're making sequels at the Day Resource Center, and you can help.
SHOP & GIVE
Shop & Amazon gives
Film fans know 2014 will be another year of sequels and remakes, and we couldn't be happier. The Day Resource Center is all about do-overs, next chapters and happy endings, and you can help us write sequels every time you buy movies and more. Start your shopping at AmazonSmile, and Amazon will donate a portion of your purchase price at no additional cost to you. Stock up on movies for your home theater at AmazonSmile and give a little.
DOUBLE EXPOSURE
Beat the Heat
One of the worst winters in memory is over. That's the good news. The bad news: as dangerous as winter's chill was for homeless men and women this year, heat kills more people than cold in the U.S. year in and year out. Texans know heat readiness is a lifesaver, and that's especially true for the homeless. We're here to help, but summer is a challenge for the Day Resource Center as well. Donations drop to the lowest levels of the year just when temperatures reach dangerous highs. You can help us change that. Watch your mailbox for the chance to give, and please give generously. Together we can Beat the Heat.
MARK YOUR CALENDAR
North Texas Giving Day in September 18 Giving Day is Sept. 18
Mark your calendars for North Texas Giving Day in September. We're planning something really special for our second annual Giving Day campaign, so gear up to give!
POWER BREAKFAST

Breakfast with the Mayor

A sell-out crowd and landmark venue made the 6th annual Breakfast with the Mayor our best. UNT Health Science Center Associate Professor Emily Spence-Almaguer stole the show with her heartfelt appeal on behalf of the city's homeless, and you gave. We'll set

a date for the 7th annual mayor's breakfast soon, but you can take a leadership position today. Contact us to learn more, and watch for your chance to reserve a table for 2015.

OUR MISSION
Our mission is simple: to provide centralized resources for transitioning people out of homelessness.
