What a weekend for Philly Achilles! A team of more than 30 of us traveled to New York City to participate in the 11th Annual Achilles International Hope & Possibility 5-Miler. Five of our own athletes finished the race through the rolling hills of Central Park, nearly all of them logging personal bests and crossing the finish line with a smile. It was amazing being out on a course filled with over 4,000 fellow Achilles athletes, volunteers and supporters from all over the world, and hearing so many shout-outs for Philly! A special thanks goes out to Natalie Tine and Bethany Reim for stepping up at the last minute to guide Amy from the Nashville Chapter. Their willingness to help out when needed by providing support and encouragement on all those hills truly embodies the spirit of our organization. Volunteers like you make us proud-Philly Achilles rocks!
