Philly Achilles!
Note from the President!

Thanks to all the athletes and volunteers that came out to make our second workout so enjoyable and rewarding!  It's a testament to the strength of the organization that all of our athletes who came out last week returned, plus we picked up an additional athlete.  Slow but steady growth is the key to long-term success!

A few new volunteers joined us as well on this beautiful sunny Saturday.  Our workouts ranged from a walk around the block to a 6-mile run, and those who participated last week achieved goals such as going faster or adding mileage.  And we all got the opportunity to meet and exercise with a fun, diverse group of fitness-minded people!

I am so proud of our group and what we have already accomplished in this short amount of time.  I look forward to meeting even more of you as time goes on and work towards setting goals for whatever you would like to accomplish, as an athlete or volunteer.

Hope to see more of you on Tuesday!  We'll leave from Philadelphia Runner at 1601 Sansom Street at 6pm.  We'll be there every Tuesday (weather permitting) to supplement our regular Saturday 9am workouts.

Catch us also next Saturday 9/29 if you attend the Rec Fest.  Located at The Carousel House Recreation Center, 4300 Avenue of The Republic in Philadelphia, the Rec Fest is an event for persons with and without physical limitations.  Head over after our 9am workout (Rec Fest is from 10am - 3pm) to participate in fun activities for all ages and abilities.  Check out more on their website:

Hope to see you soon!
