Greetings!
The Jessie F. Hallett Memorial Library has witnessed the generosity of our community first hand. The St. Mary Court Foresters of the St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Crosby, have scheduled a 2-day Rummage Sale Thursday, May 9 from 2 pm-8 pm and Friday, May 10 from 8 am-12 noon. ALL PROCEEDS WILL BENEFIT the JFHML! This Hearts and Hands event sponsored by the National Catholic Society of Foresters will match funds raised up to $1,000. The reason for this gesture? Simply stated " Our Library is a special place and we want to help reduce their funding gap." We are humbled and grateful.
Plans are moving along for "Le Connection"--- this expanded Bookstore/ wifi Internet café/computer lab/coffee bar is made possible by funding from the Initiative Foundation, a regional foundation, along with support from the Library and the JFHML Friends Foundation. We are clearing the existing computer lab area in preparation for a custom made counter which will feature our 9 internet PCs. Soon to follow will be a coffee bar & café style seating. It has been exciting to watch this transformation. Estimated time of completion is July 2013.

May is sign up month for our K-6 grade 2013 Summer Reading Program DIG INTO READING. Forms have been sent home to CRES students. We look forward to GREAT programming on Thursday mornings July 11, 18, 25 and August 1.
