The Lucile Packard Children's Hospital Stanford Expansion Begins to Rise
With more than 5,750,000 pounds of rebar and 800 tons of structural steel already in place, the expansion at Lucile Packard Children's Hospital Stanford is reaching for the stars.
The last of fourteen concrete mat slabs will be placed next week, securing the foundation for all of the vertical construction work underway. Two tower cranes are currently operating on the site to support the structural concrete work and prepare for more structural steel to rise this spring.
